Sketchbook Project Mobile Library

August 20, 2016
1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Check out sketchbooks from all over the globe! The Sketchbook Project Mobile Library is a Brooklyn-based, crowd-sourced library of over 35,000 sketchbooks created by photographers, painters, architects, designers, and illustrators from over +135 countries around the globe. Each year, The Sketchbook Project Mobile Library traverses the country to bring thousands of books from the collection to museums, galleries, and cultural institutions across North America. Often described as “a food truck, but with sketchbooks,” the Mobile Library travels coast to coast stopping for unique, interactive, and family-friendly pop-up events in cities near and far. Join us for an afternoon and engage with art from this global, crowd-sourced collection of sketchbooks on Saturday, August 20 from 1-5 PM! RAM visitors simply obtain a free library card at the mobile library to check out the sketchbooks. Tables, chairs and benches will be available for visitors at RAM to relax and enjoy! Artists from Fort Smith and the area can even submit their sketchbooks to become part of this grand collection of artworks belonging to the Library that will be seen by others around the world!
