Sixth Annual Buried Treasure Graveside Tales

Join us as we celebrate the lives of residents of days gone by in this popular annual event. Costumed presenters share their tales at graveside. Memorialized this year are Italian emigrant Clementina Maestri Gazzola, early settler Eudora Blaylock Cumbie, labor organizer and Civil War veteran/author Wylie B. Heartsill, early educator and newspaper editor Professor Ligurn M. Redwine, and Cuban emigrant physician Dr. H. G. Alvarez. The event begins promptly at 2 PM. Cemetery at corner of Highway 96 and Ware Road. Directions from Fort Smith: Highway 71 South, exit left onto 10 Spur, turn left on Highway 96. Directions from points South: Highway 71 North, exit right onto Spur 10, turn left on Highway 96. Directions from points east: From Highway 10, turn right onto Highway 96.
