Authors in the Afternoon featuring Suella ThrasherOctober 13, 2016
4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Mulberry author Suella Thrasher will sign copies of her novel Gone But Not Forgotten: An Ozark Autumn to be Remembered. The novel spans several generations through which the characters experience great disappointments, moments of hope, and the reality of God’s presence. In 1876, 12-year-old Grace Ellen Roux starts a journal and prays for God to give her red-haired, green-eyed children, like herself, to carry the beauty of the Ozark autumn season throughout generations. In 2014, a young redheaded, green-eyed woman from Seattle finds the journal after the death of her adoptive father and, in search of her roots and namesake, follows the journal back to the Arkansas Ozarks. Suella Thrasher has been an avid reader since kindergarten. She completed a two-year writer’s course at The Institute of Children's Literature. She is a retired registered nurse and educator with a master’s in nursing. Suella has presented lectures on health, spiritual life, and teaching. She lives with her husband, Bob, on a farm at the edge of the Arkansas Ozarks. Copies of Gone But Not Forgotten: An Ozark Autumn to be Remembered will be available for purchase and signing at this open-house style event.
