Elks Annual Free Veterans Dinner of ThanksgivingNovember 10, 2016
Each year, Fort Smith Elks Lodge celebrates Veteran's Day by honoring all veterans and those currently in active military duty with a free Dinner of Thanksgiving. Entertainment will be provided for dancing or listening pleasure. The Elks greatly appreciate the dedication and service given by our Veterans and those currently in active duty so that we can continue living in a free country. In addition, because the Elks understand the families of these veterans and active military servicemen and servicewomen also have had to make many sacrifices themselves during the service of their loved one, the Elks want to express their appreciation to them by inviting the family members living in the home to partake in this free Dinner of Thanksgiving, as well. The Elks offer this dinner free of charge because they feel our veterans, our active military personnel and their families have already paid the price. Dinner will consist of Turkey and Dressing with all the usual trimmings, homemade desserts and tea. Sodas and adult beverages are available at minimal cost. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the meal begins at 6:30 p.m.
