Fort Smith author Wayne Hancock will make a special appearance at the Fort Smith Public Library to promote and sign copies his recently released book; The Ghost of Johnny Nichols. Told from the point-of-view of John Nichols, this historical novel details his capture by Union soldiers and his trail in Jefferson City, Missouri in 1861 at the outset of the U.S. Civil War. Wayne Hancock was born and raised in Missouri, but currently resides in Fort Smith. The 89 year old is a veteran of WWII, and is the author of 11 books including murder mysteries, vampire books, non-fiction, a true crime story, and this historical novel. Copies of The Ghost of Johnny Nichols will be available for sale and signing at this open-house style event.
