TrailBlazers Hiking ClubJanuary 14, 2017
TrailBlazers Hiking Club will hike to Big Bluff on the Buffalo River. It is a strenuous 5.5 mile round trip to this 440-foot ledge where there are lots of interesting rock formations and great views of the river valley. Going in is easy but coming out requires a 1,000-ft elevation gain in 2.75 miles – not steep enough for switchbacks, just a continuous uphill trek. The view is worth the effort. Bring lunch and water. Meet at Cloverleaf Plaza parking lot at 8 AM to carpool/caravan.
