Authors in the Afternoon with C. Wayne Winkle

June 20, 2017
4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Fort Smith author C. Wayne Winkle will appear at the Fort Smith Public Library to promote and sign copies of his westerns, Yancey’s Ride, Down the Long Trail, and One Last Chase: They Kidnapped His Granddaughter. C. Wayne Winkle is a retired psychologist who grew up watching the great western heroes on television. Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Lash LaRue, and the Lone Ranger were on every Saturday morning. And, of course, Louis L’Amour is still one of his favorite authors. Winkle has been married to the same wonderful woman for 46 years. They have six of the best grandkids anyone could possibly want. His faith in Jesus Christ is a mainstay in his foundation of life. Winkle lives in western Arkansas, “the eyebrow of Indian Territory.” Copies of his books will be available for sale and signing at this open-house style event.
