1880s Summertime, Hometime Fun at the Clayton House

July 15, 2017
9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

This quick immersion into the Clayton Family era (1880s) for ages 7 to 13 will provide unique and fun experiences inside and outside the Victorian mansion. The kitchen will be a focal point, with attendees getting to mix, shape and bake artisan bread with the help of Mercer Meadows Bakery & Farm owner Robert Mercer. While bread is baking, a Victorian music lesson, watercolor painting, herb garden exploration and sports on the lawn will keep everyone busy. A tour of the authentically restored home, filled with furniture and gadgets that teach about ways of life now gone, will be followed by butter making and refreshments, including freshly baked bread. Make reservations by phone.

Admission: $10 per child. Parents welcome to attend.
