Oklahoma Archaeology Day

9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Spend a Oklahoma Archaeology Day at the only prehistoric, Native American, archaeological site open to the public in Oklahoma. Flintknappers will show how Native Americans made stone tools and drilled beads. There will be an archaeologist to identify artifacts in visitors collections. At 1 p.m. Archaeologist Dennis Peterson will talk about the peopling of Oklahoma and at 2 p.m. he will lead a tour of the Spiro Mounds. There will be a sand box for youngsters to dig up treasures and if they find the pirate coin they can will a prize.

Admission: $7 adults, $5 seniors, $4 children
