The 30th annual TASTE of Fort Smith will will showcase the area’s finest food and beverage sampling from more than 35 vendors at lunch and dinner sessions. Tickets may be purchased from First National Bank of Fort Smith locations: Downtown; Central Mall; Stonewood; Chaffee Crossing and Brooken Hill. The public can also purchase their tickets at the Fort Smith Chamber of Commerce. A TASTE ticket is needed for admission by adults and children, age 6 and older, per session. The TASTE historically draws more than 1700 attendees. This year’s goal is to raise more than $18,000. Recipients will include the Literacy Council of Western Arkansas, Crawford County Volunteers for Literacy, Fort Smith Public Library, Scott-Sebastian Regional Library, Sebastian County Humane Society and the Curt, Cliff & Opal Young Home. During the event’s history more than $390,000 has been distributed to 33 local non-profits. The TASTE of Fort Smith event is presented annually by Altrusa International Foundation of Fort Smith, AR, Inc., a non-profit organization. Altrusa Club of Fort Smith organizes and stages this popular, social one-day event. Additional information about the club and the annual TASTE event can be found on Facebook.
