The collection was acquired in 1968 when Dr. Linimon returned from Vietnam and purchased a practice from Dr. William Wood of Fort Smith. Dr. Wood first practiced in an office in the Boston Store in the 1930s and later in an office in First National Bank on Garrison Avenue. The 19th century equipment belonged to Dr. J. H. Chapman, Ophthalmologist. Dr. Linimon will offer programs for students and tour groups.
