Sack Lunch Program Volunteer OrientationFebruary 10, 2018
Are you looking for unique and fulfilling community service opportunities? The Sack Lunch Program's mission is very simple: if you are hungry, we will feed you. We serve lunches twice a day to anyone who stands in our line. Last year, we served over 42,000 lunches to our neighbors who struggle with food insecurity in the greater Fort Smith area. Our volunteers make sandwiches, serve lunches, and help with restocking and recycling. A volunteer orientation workshop will be held on Saturday, February 10th. It will provide an overview of the program, a tour of the facility, and describe community service opportunities that are available. Preregistration is required; call St. John’s Episcopal Church, 479-782-9912, by 4 pm on 2/8/17.
