Feeding Hope Day at the FairSeptember 26, 2018

Enjoy a beautiful day at the Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair and know you are helping fight hunger at the same time. This special event grants everyone admission to the fair with just a can or box of nonperishable food. Feeding Hope Day, sponsored by 40/29 News, the Arkansas CW and the Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair, gives a great boost to 185 hunger-fighting agencies in eight counties that receive food from the River Valley Regional Food Bank. The fair remains open until 10 p.m., but the special entry fee of gifts of food lasts until 5:00 p.m. Gather your friends, and bring one or more cans or boxes such as the following: low-sodium foods, canned fruits and vegetables, soups and stews, peanut butter, spaghetti sauce and other tomato-based products, tuna, mayonnaise, Hamburger Helper, canned chili or chicken.
