Local Color Radio Hour: A Live Show and Podcast

Local Color Radio Hour, a night of local music, history, and comedy will be presented at the King Opera House in Van Buren, AR on Saturday, November 10 at 7:30 pm. Admission is $5, with proceeds benefitting the Drennen-Scott House in Van Buren and the Fort Smith Museum of History. This third installment of the LCRH will include live, local music from Joe Hardin, The Numskulls, Maggie (Janes) Jones, Steve Heinrichs, and more. The sections “History Matters”, “On Display,” and “Little Known Facts” will be presented by Tom Wing, Leisa Gramlich, and Caroline Speir. Marcus Woodward will read about Christmas in Rome during his college years. Additional special guests include Cody Faber and Loren McLane, the Rambling, Roving Rangers from the Fort Smith National Historic Site, as well as a return of the radio drama, Hanged at Logtown, written by Terrence Dean of Van Buren, based on a historical hanging and mob justice. Local Color Radio Hour is presented by Spinnin’ ‘Round Productions, in cooperation with the King Opera House and Grand Finale Productions.
