July 11: The Favored Strawberry, a documentary film
Fort Smith Premier of a new Arkansas documentary
Emmy award-winning filmmaker, UA journalism professor, and Fort Smith native Larry Foley will screen his new documentary, "The Favored Strawberry" at the Fort Smith Public Library.
The one-hour documentary, filmed in 8 states including Arkansas, tells the story of farms, big and small, where strawberries are still picked by hand, one by one, often by hard working immigrants chasing the American dream.
