June 7:
Singer-Songwriter Shannon Wurst
This gifted singer-songwriter will delight all ages. While staying true to the musical traditions set forth by those from so long ago, Shannon adds a modern twist. By pairing old with new, her music has a truly timeless sound. Growing up in a musical family in Alma, Shannon is no stranger to picking parties and house concerts. She is a true artist: an entertainer, a storyteller and a songstress. In 2009, many took notice of this rising star as Shannon was a finalist in the 2009 Kerrville New Folk Songwriting competition, Folk Alley Best Artist, and was named the winner of the Walnut Valley New Song Contest at the Walnut Valley Music Festival in Winfield, Kan. Garrison Keillor of “A Prairie Home Companion” radio program picked her as semi-finalist for his program’s Talented Twenties contest. She also has had the distinct honor of being invited to open for Robert Earl Keen, Yonder Mountain String Band, Carlene Carter and Railroad Earth.

Kids of all ages will laugh and sing, dance and clap along with the music. Treat your children, as well as yourself, to a wonderful 45-minute performance of original good time music for kids, written and performed by Brian and Terri Kinder.

July 5: Build a Magical World with Tommy Terrific
Back by popular demand, Tommy Terrific's Wacky Magic will present a new magic show called "Build a Magical World." The show will feature magic tricks representing great architectural structures from around the world, such as the Great Pyramids, the Eiffel Tower, the Great Wall of China and more. With the help of the Magician's Handbook, the kids guide Tommy Terrific through a worldwide, magical adventure where these great structures are explored in fun and interesting ways. Along the way, the kids will be inspired to explore how they can "Build a Magical World" at their library.

July 19: Community under the Canopy
Special guests will be the Natural History Educational Company of the Midsouth. Get set to build a better world by learning how you can protect its unique habitats. Community under the Canopy will feature live animals from the world’s rainforest and jungles.
