Parrot Island Waterpark at Ben Geren Regional Park

Who: All ages
What: Situated in Ben Geren Regional Park, Parrot Island offers a wave pool, water slides, a lazy river, activity pool and much more. Admission is $15 for those over 48 inches tall and $10 for those under 48 inches. Children 3 years and younger are free. Season passes are available.
When: 10 a.m.-7 p.m. daily through Aug. 13 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday Aug. 19-Sept. 4.

Tiny Tot Time
Who: Tiny guests age 5 and under
What: Tiny Turtle Island is open exclusively for the little ones and parents every Tuesday morning during the season. Admission is $5 for children 48 inches and under; free for parents.

What: The Creekmore Park Pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Cost to swim is $1 for ages 6 and under and $2 for ages 7 and older. Season passes are available.

Creekmore Park Train Rides

Who: All ages
What: The legendary Creekmore Express railraod at Creekmore Park will operate extended hours through the warm weather months. Visitors can take a ride around the scenic park for only 25 cents.
When: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday 1-6 p.m. Sundays
Holiday hours are 1-6 p.m. and are celebrated on July 4 and Sept. 4.
Where: Creekmore Park, Rogers Avenue and South 31 Street, Fort Smith.


The Park at West End

Who: All ages
What: Known for its Ferris wheel from the 1935 World’s Fair in Chicago, the Park at West End is one of Fort Smith’s most iconic spots. The park offers rides on the Ferris Wheel and its vintage, hand-painted carousel, as well as a covered arcade for youth. Guests can also grab a bit to eat from Patrick’s Burger. Park admission is free; rides are $1.
When: 4-9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday; 4-10 p.m. Fridays; 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturdays Where: The Park at West End, 15 North 2 Street, Fort Smith. 479-784-2368
