Children's Summer Reading Program
Who: Preschool to 12 years
What: Designed to encourage reading for pleasure, this program will help young readers retain the valuable skills they developed over the school year. Preschool children too young to read also may participate and will receive credit for the books read to them. Rewards will be given for reaching specific goals.
When: June 1-July 31

Teen Summer Reading Program
Who: Teens who love to read
What: Stop by any Fort Smith Public Library location to enjoy books, videos, computers, magazines, music and special library programs of all kinds. Read books and enter into weekly prize drawings for the chance to win great gift cards.

Alma Library On Your Mark, Get Set … READ! 
Who: Toddlers and children
What: Take part in the summer reading program and attend special weekly sessions with story times, adventures, speakers and more. The program will kick off from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 4 with a pep rally that will include a meet-and-greet of the Alma High School teams and clubs. Students will be able to pick up their reading packets to prepare to be a super reader this summer.
When: 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays

Cedarville Library On Your Mark, Get Set … READ!
Who: Preschoolers and young children
What: Preschoolers and elementary-age children will enjoy speakers, story time, crafts and more. To kick it off, library-goers will go through the StoryWalk program at the Summer Reading Kick-off Party from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. June. 4. Cupcake refreshments will be served and participants can pick up a reading log.
When: 11 a.m.-noon Wednesdays.

Get In the Game ... Read!
Who: Tweens and teens
What: Enjoy guest speakers, fun activities and crafts as part of the summer program. When: 11 a.m.-noon Thursdays

Mountainburg Library On Your Mark, Get Set … READ!
Who: Toddlers, children and tweens
What: Enjoy games, stories, activities and crafts about nutrition, relaxation, sportsmanship and more. Participants will receive a ticket for each event they attend for a chance to win prizes at the End of Summer Party. Kick-off Party will be 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. June 4.

Get in the Game and Exercise Your Mind
Who: Teens and adults
What: Enjoy crafts, special classes, guest speakers, refreshments and other fun activities.

Art Class
Who: Ages 8-16
What: The Mountainburg Public Library and artists Jessica Pettit and Tami Fujibayahi will conduct a special two-day art class for young artists. Seating is limited and participants must reserve a seat by calling the library in advance. Refreshments will be served.
