2015 Summer Movies for Kids
will be shown free at parks and at reduced prices in local theaters.

The Fort Smith Parks and Recreation Department will bring back its ever-popular summer "Movies in the Park" series. All movies are free to attend and visitors are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the show. Vending trucks will be on-site selling snacks and soft drinks. Films will start shortly after a dark in the selected parks. In the event of rain, the movie will be shown at the same scheduled park the next day.  J

Carmike Cinema 14 in Fort Smith invites families to take advantage of its Summer Kids Series. Beginning June 4, the theater will offer discounted admission for kid-friendly movies at 10 a.m. Thursdays. All seats are $4 and includes popcorn and a Coke product.

Malco's Van Buren Cinema will serve as the site of the region's 2015 Kids Summer Film Fest offering movie-goers of all ages the chance to enjoy a beloved family film for only $2. Showtimes are at 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Discounted concessions and snacks also will be offered. Proceeds from the local showing benefit Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
