Summer Meals for kids provided by schools

Children won’t have to go far this summer for breakfast and lunch. At no cost to kids and minimal cost to adults, several local school districts and non-profit organizations will provide two square meals a day throughout the summer months.



Fort Smith Public Schools
Who: Young people 18 and under are eligible to participate at no cost.
What: Fee meals will be offered throughout the summer to children in the community to help keep them growing and learning. Parents may eat lunch for $3.50 or breakfast for $2.50. No paperwork is required. For more information, contact FSPS Child Nutrition at 479-785-2501, ext. 1240 or 1285.

What: The Hackett School District will offer free breakfast and lunch. When: 8:30-9:15 a.m. and 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. weekdays May 31-June 10

Mansfield School District
Who: Young people 18 years old and under are eligible to participate at no cost.
What: The Mansfield School District will provide free breakfast and lunch to children ages 18 and under throughout the summer. Adults are also welcome to eat breakfast for $2 and lunch for $3.
When: 8:30-9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.-noon Monday-Thursday June 13-30 & July 5-29 Where: Mansfield Middle School Cafeteria, 400 Grove Street, Mansfield



Alma Airedale Book Express Meal Schedule

What: The Alma Airedale Book Express will also deliver meals along its route throughout the summer.

Cedarville Public Schools
Who: Young people 18 years old and under are eligible to participate at no cost. What: Cedarville High School will offer free breakfast and lunch to children and students throughout the summer. There is no cost for ages 18 and under. Adults can eat breakfast for $2 and lunch for $3.35. The district will also provide transportation for participants. Six designated bus stops will transport students to and from the high school.
