July 21 Art on the Border sale offers diverse works by invited artists
The Classic Charitable Foundation presents its 5th Annual Art on the Border exhibit and sale, which has grown to need two downtown gallery spaces to showcase the works of invited regional artists.

Art patrons and charity supporters will find a host of mediums at the invitational show to include oils, pastels, acrylics, watercolor, fiber, airbrush, hand-blown glass, jewelry, sculpture, gourd art, digitally enhanced photographs, wood turnings and baskets. Several artists will offer high quality matted prints and note cards. Art students of the UAFS Summer Semester will also offer their prints and visual art pieces.

Honorary hosts and long-time community supporters, will be Rod and Kathy Coleman. All proceeds from this year’s event go to the following 2018 beneficiaries: Riverview Hope Campus, The Fort Smith Regional Art Museum, Donald W Reynolds Cancer Support House and Center for Art and Education, Van Buren. The fundraising goal is $25,000. Gallery Sponsors are Cox Media, Alpha Packaging and John and Teresa Keller.

For the first three years, the event was held at the Frisco Station and began by offering western art which evolved into contemporary. Featured artists include Dale Augustson, Sally Ball, Mireille Belinga, Lorrie Bridges, Elisa Cossey Brock, Teresa Cates, Mary Lou Christie, Lisa Jan-Bohné Clay, Sandra Dixon, Dell Eddins, Amy Eichler, Shawna Elliott, Linda Faber, Jeanette Foreman, Sara Galbach, Dr. Kris Gast, David Gates, Charles Gilpin, Angela Green, Peggy Hague, Jane Hartfield, James Hayes, John Hernandez, Stephen Holmes, Ed Importante, Erica Johnson, Patsy Lane, Jimmy Leach, Maggie Malloy, Marsha Martin, Cathy Mason, Julie Mayser, Nance McGraw, Ling Ling Moorman, Rhee Reamy, Pat Riggs, Michael Rowland, Teresa Schlabach, Shari Short, Anna Sue Wilcox, Saber Woodard and Bob and Virginia Wright.
