Open Studio: Poetry Reading with Zachary Tally

August 21, 2019
10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

“…I must ride out the haunting of the vision that has thrust itself upon me. I must remember that I’m not that person anymore, I was weaker than, I must find my center. The echo falls into a numbing hush over my mind. Everything is still…”—an excerpt from Echoes, Zach Tally.  Inspired by the work of Mary Oliver and Mark Twain, writer Zachary Tally’s spoken poetry is based on what the artist describes as ‘a reliving and retelling of my life story.’ Themes of perseverance, determination and vulnerability intertwined with nature-based metaphors are prevalent throughout his work. Talley will give a live reading and will be available for questions from the audience. Light refreshments will be provided.

Admission: Free.
