Workshop: Watercolor Painting with Duane Hada

A great workshop for anyone who would like to learn how to paint with watercolor or choose acrylic to achieve brilliant colors through a technique called “glazing” which Duane will demonstrate and teach. The techniques you learn in this class can be applied to your still life and landscape paintings and improve your painting skills. This will be a fun filled “can’t fail” workshop that you will definitely want to attend. Duane Hada has traveled and painted extensively throughout trout country as well as several saltwater destinations and enjoys recording both angling and fish species of the areas. He paints both in the studio and plein air to capture the light and essence of the moment. Duane Hada has been recognized as both artist and angler and received numerous awards locally as well as nationally. You may have seen his art as trout stamp designs, in wildlife calendars, and trout regulation manuals. His art adorns banks, AFGC nature centers across the state, famous trout and saltwater lodges, as well as the Governor’s mansion. He is the illustrator for Ozark Trout Tales, Home Waters, and created the popular 2005 Arkansas Game & Fish Foundation license plate with a White River rainbow trout scene. Duane Hada holds a BSE in Art from the University of Central Arkansas. He has also received certification from the Federation of Fly Fishers as an instructor. He has taught numerous courses and workshops at local colleges and universities in fly fishing and art. His various slide presentation programs are popular with fly fishing clubs and conservation organizations. Duane Hada is the first and only person to date to catch all qualifying fish on fly tackle. He has been featured on nationally syndicated shows such as "The Fishing Hole," and "Fly Fishing America" and is a coach to the US Youth Fly Fishing Team.
