These Saturday open studios for kids and families are covering world culture themes this summer. Explore, learn, create and take home unique works of art. Registration by phone is required due to limits in class sizes. All ages. Free. Noon-1:30 p.m. or 2-3:30 p.m.
A free, weekly online art class via Zoom or Facebook Live is open to ages 10+. Follow along at home, with your own materials, by watching a live video to practice techniques demonstrated by the leader. This is for practice and learning, not necessary for finished work. Develop more skills by watching and practicing during this low-key, encouraging time. Free. Tuesdays, 7 p.m.
July 19-22 Mythical Creature Creations Ages 7-11
In this 4-day class, students will learn to use cardboard, paper mâché, glue, paint and more to create their own original mythical creature. On July 23, the students will show their artwork to family and friends at an exhibition at the museum. Call or go online to register. $25. 1-4 p.m.
July 26-29 Become a Muralist Ages 12-18
Using public art in our community as inspiration, students will visit local murals throughout Fort Smith to learn about different technical styles and applications. Students will get the opportunity to design and create a mural on a designated wall outside of the museum while exploring the use of control, taping, stenciling and color palette. Register online or by phone. $25. Noon-5 p.m.

Toddler Tours Ages 2-5
