REGULARLY SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES

Animal Feeding

Daily, 2 p.m.  Critter Crunch animal feeding Friday – Snake feeding

Saturday – Fish feeding in the large aquarium For the rest of the week, stop by to see which surprise critter is having lunch.

Weekly

Friday 2 p.m. - Snake Feeding Stop by to see one of the Nature Center's captive snakes have lunch! 

 

Saturday, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Canoe and Kayak Program – Staff members will assist boaters on Wells Lake. It’s a great family activity. A parent or guardian must accompany children. Partici-pants are required to wear a life jacket, which will be provided. This activity is weather and staff availability permitting. Please call ahead. 

2:30 p.m. Archery – Almost all ages can take part in this beginner’s guide to archery. The bows and arrows, safety and basic instruction provided.

 

June 15-Aug. 12

Tuesday-Thursday 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Canoe and Kayak Use – Canoe and Kayak check-outs, on your own.

June 29  Plein Air & Colored Pencils Ages 6-9 Free. 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.

June 30  Plein Air & Colored Pencils Ages 10-13. 9-11 a.m.

Aug. 10 Watercolor Painting Ages 6-9.  Sessions at 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.

Aug. 11  Watercolor Painting Ages 10-13. 9-11 a.m.

 

KIDDY KAMPS Ages 4-6

Take little ones for a two-hour mini daycamp. Activities are planned just for their ages, ability and energy.  A responsible adult is required to stay on the premises, Advance registration is required by calling 479-452-3993. Free.

June 8 D is for Duck 9-11 a.m.

June 9 S is for Snakes 9-11 a.m.

Aug. 10 O is for Owls 9-11 a.m.

 

ARCHERY SUMMER CAMP Join AGFC staff to learn the basics of archery.

June 16  All Ages Archery 9-10 a.m. Ages 7 to adult. Registration is not required.

June 22  Archery for ages 7-11. Registration is required. 9 a.m-noon.

June 23 Archery ages 12-15. Registration is required.  9 a.m-noon.

 

June 11 PRADCO Fishing Day

10 a.m.-2 p.m. Pradco Outdoor Brands partners with the Nature Center for a fishing day filled with fun for all ages that will help everyone become a better angler. Fishing experts will be on site and demonstrations will be given every hour. Free giveaways will be available.

SHOOTING SPORTS SUMMER CAMPS

At all sessions, learning about firearm safety, how to aim and more.

July 28 Shooting Sports Camp – All Ages Registration is not required. Free. 9-10 a.m.

Aug. 3 Shooting Sports Camp – Ages 7-11 Registration is required. Free. 9 a.m.-noon. 

Aug. 4 Shooting Sports Camp – Ages 12-15 Registration is required. Free. 9 a.m.-noon.

July 15 3D Archery  Learn the basics of archery and try your hand at shooting at 3D targets found at the nature center. All ages are invited and all equipment is provided. Registration is not required. Free. 6 p.m.
