 Workshop: The Art of Fly Tying with Duane Hada

For the anglers! This class showcases the art of fly tying. Duane Hada will demonstrate fly tying techniques and patterns teaching how to create artistic, effective flies. Participants watch demonstrations and construct their own flies. Hada has been recognized as both artist and angler and received numerous local and national awards. He is the creator and designer of the 'Hada Creek Crawler,' an umpqua signature series pattern fly. He was named Federation of Fly Fishers 'Fly-tyer of the Year' in 2013. In 2015, he received the 'International Lifetime Achievement Award' for his contribution to warm water fisheries. Had was also was named an 'Arkansas Living Legend' for his conservation and angling. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission awarded him the 'Master Angler Award.' Hada owns and operates a fly fishing guide service and Rivertown Gallery in Mountain Home, Ark. He is the first and only person to date to catch all qualifying fish on fly tackle. He has been featured on nationally syndicated shows such as "The Fishing Hole," and "Fly Fishing America" and is a coach to the US Youth Fly Fishing Team. Register by phone.
