It happened when Sam Sicard found himself struggling for firmer footing while coaching his son Layton’s team on Hunt’s Park field. 

“My epiphany moment, you could say, came when my son was playing flag football and I was coaching,” Sicard said. “That weekend we played, it was really muddy. It looked like a landmine from all the kids playing on it. I almost sprained my ankle walking across the field.”
